Pure Lead is the absolute key element in the worlds most advanced AGM Drycell Battery. Odyssey’s pure lead plates, grids, and cell connectors have much lower resistance to current than lead alloys typically found in lead acid batteries. Lower resistance and thin plates work together to provide the rapid charge capability and higher cranking amps. When a battery is constructed of pure lead and laboratory grade acid you have essentially eliminated the most common cause of early battery failure, internal corrosion.
